The Home Decor Wishlist

November 29, 2017

It's so hard narrowing down my home decor wishlist... I know, first world problems, but if I had to pick just a few items that I'm currently coveting, these items top the list:

  1. Juju hat: this textured slice of heaven would look fantastic in my office. And Juju Boutik sources these headdresses from Cameroon, supporting the Bamileke tribes by creating jobs and wealth throughout the community...so it's a win-win.
  2. Green Agate Coasters: I feel like this doesn't need explanation or justification, they are just gorgeous!
  3. Gold Leaf Pendant: this lighting fixture has it all; gold, palm leaves, and quirky charm. I'm in love. This too would look amazing in my office, just saying.
  4. Kilim Lumbar Pillow: Whenever I want a pillow, I always have the most annoying thought that ruins it for me... the scene from Along Came Polly where Ben Stiller stabs all his ex's pillows! Sacrilege! Ugh... still, it doesn't stop me from wanting them. And, I mean, if I must have a pillow, it has to be a statement like this gorgeous lumbar handmade by the women of Oaxaca.
  5. Macrame Wall Hanging: because why not? It adds texture and warmth and is clearly made with love, it just makes my heart smile!
  6. Pink Pom Pom Blanket: this one makes my heart sing! Can you picture it paired with that lumbar pillow? Swoon!
  7. Bone Inlay Bowl and Serving Utensils: I love to host, and am loving the natural beauty of this bowl with bone-inlay accents made in Kenya. I have matching utensils and napkin rings, so it would look beautiful on my dining table (empty or full).
  8. Palm Tree Print: nothing says California more than palm trees. This silhouette is perfection. I need it (imitating my 5 year-old daughter's tone).
  9. Anything Made of Moroccan Wedding Blanket: shameless plug for our own Moroccan Wedding Quilt Pouf. But you just can't argue with its cuteness!

Holy bananas... 6 weeks flew by so fast, didn't they? Unreal. At the outset, 42 days to put together a room seemed like a leisurely pace. But when you factor in shipping and coordinating two busy human's schedules, it is quite the accomplishment to have transformed a room in this short of a period. But we DID IT!
