Rug Care

Polypropylene Rugs
  1. Polypropylene is dirt and stain resistant and will look great for a long time just by vacuuming regularly. 
  2. If spills occur blot immediately.
  3. Use rug/carpet cleaners that are safe on synthetic fibers.
  4. Use professional cleaning agents only.
  5. When vacuuming we recommend setting the beater bar to the off position to keep the pile height and/or loops intact long term.

Wool Rugs

  1. Wool will look great for a long time just by vacuuming regularly.
  2. If spills occur blot immediately.
  3. Do not use oxygen cleaners on your wool rug.
  4. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
  5. When vacuuming we recommend setting the beater bar to the off position to keep the pile height and/or loops intact long term.
  6. For best results periodic professional cleaning is recommended.

Natural Fiber Rugs

  1. Vacuum regularly without the beater bar turned off (or on highest pile setting) 
  2. If loops or tufts appears above the pile of area rug do not pull them. This is not a defect, it is a common condition called "sprouting". Use a pair scissors to cut the loop or tuft.
  3. Do not use oxygen cleaners.
  4. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading
  5. For best results periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
